Wind Labs are JustWind4All communities that engage in transdisciplinary knowledge co-production work through real-world experimentation. They are spaces for reflexivity, co-learning, and knowledge co-production where wind energy governance actors and researchers together address specific challenges of wind energy deployment. Since every Wind Lab has a different scope, i.e. addresses different challenges related to wind power deployment and involves different sets of stakeholders, the co-production work is contextualised for each lab and does not follow a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Rather, engagement and co-production across all labs follow shared and specific principles, and an iterative action-oriented research process including phases of planning (incl. systems analysis), acting (e.g. through workshops, experimentation), observing (incl. data collection) and reflecting/learning (incl. data analysis, lessons learned).
