The JustWind4All project’s Wind Labs are at the forefront of co-producing knowledge and solutions to address real-world challenges in wind energy governance. This interactive online webinar brought together policymakers, local and regional authorities, community groups, researchers, and industry professionals eager to shape a just and effective wind energy future. The session showcased insighs from local co-production processes in Bulgaria, Portugal, Germany, and the North Sea basin—where community needs, planning gaps, and sectoral tensions intersect with national and EU priorities.

As Europe accelerates wind energy deployment, how do we ensure the process is not only fast—but also just and effective?  Our Wind Lab webinar, hosted by our partners at RGI explored how regional “Wind Labs” are advancing just and effective wind governance. The session showcased insights from local co-production processes in Bulgaria, Portugal, Germany, and the North Sea basin—where community needs, planning gaps, and sectoral tensions intersect with national and EU priorities.Participants heard from the Wind Labs, explored early lessons from real-world experimentation, and discussed how to scale these approaches across Europe. The event also featured reflections from ICLEI Europe and eco-union, linking local insights to Fast & Fair Renewables & Grids and insights on local ownership, participation and structural justice.
